Teodora Popa

Teodora Popa is a reproductive geneticist and Director of the Reproductive Science and Women’s Health programme at University College London (UCL). Her research focuses on novel technologies to improve assisted reproduction outcomes, including genetic testing and artificial intelligence (AI) for embryo selection in the IVF setting. An innovator in the space, she uses cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality and the metaverse to enhance the patient experience and promote reproductive education. Currently, she is the Chief Innovation Officer at Avenues Life, the world’s most digitised IVF clinic. There, reproductive care is redefined by combining modern in-person care with advanced AI-based technology to improve and personalise the patient experience at every step along the reproductive journey.
